7th international exposition of Tourism and Hotel Equipment "Expo Batumi 2014" took place 2-4 may, 2014. Participating Countries: Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland, China and Germany for the first time
On April 27, at 7 AM, the first cruise ship of the season "Black Sea Cruises Line" entered Batumi sea port carrying 100 foreign tourists. A local tour operator "Adjara Tour" provided the cruise ship passengers with different excursion programs.
On April 25-28 Lithuanian journalists are visiting Batumi. The press trip organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara unifies leading media journalists as well as famous bloggers and photographers.
On April 20-22 leading journalists from Belorussia are visiting Batumi upon the invitation of the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara Autonomous Republic. The aim of the mentioned tour is to showcase tourism potential of our region, local cuisine, folklore and tourist attractions.
Ajara hosted tour operators from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In the frames of the study tour they got acquainted with the region's hotel capacity, Georgian cuisine, and folklore, visited various tourist attractions and what’s more, established business contacts with local tour operators.
