On April 27, at 7 AM, the first cruise ship of the season "Black Sea Cruises Line" entered Batumi sea port carrying 100 foreign tourists. A local tour operator "Adjara Tour" provided the cruise ship passengers with different excursion programs.

On April 29, the second cruise ship "Silver Wind" is scheduled to enter Batumi Sea Port with 210 passengers onboard.

It is worth noting, that positive tendencies can be seen in direction of cruise tourism statistics. In 2012 up to 10 cruise ships visited the region. The number of cruise ships in 2013 amounted to 16 while for 2014 Batumi Sea Port is expected to receive 26 cruise ships.
