On April 11-14 the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara hosted tour operators from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In the frames of the study tour they got acquainted with the region's hotel capacity, Georgian cuisine, and folklore, visited various tourist attractions and what’s more, established business contacts with local tour operators.

As a result, tour operators will work out special programs for attracting tourists in our region.

It is noteworthy, that this year Lithuania has been added as one of the tourist target markets. In addition to the adverting campaign in Lithuania, the department has taken part in an international tourism fairs in the Baltic countries and has hosted study tour for tour operators. Moreover, in the nearest future a press trip is planned for Lithuanian journalists.
