On April 25-28 Lithuanian journalists are visiting Batumi. The press trip organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara unifies leading media journalists as well as famous bloggers and photographers. During 3 days they will get acquainted with Ajara tourism potential and later publish promotional articles about Ajara-Batumi thus popularizing Batumi as a popular tourist destination in Lithuania.

It is worth noting that the department is realizing an advertising campaign in Lithuania for the first time. Introduction of a new tourist market has been stimulated by launching regular cheap flights from Kutaisi by Wizzair. In addition, the department has participated in tourism trade shows in the Baltic countries where Ajara-Batumi deserved big interest. As a result of different marketing activities the number of Lithuanian tourists in the region is expected to increase.
