On September 18, 2014 a hotel "Divan Suites Batumi" organized an event in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey aiming at popularizing Ajara as a tourist destination and a hotel "Divan Suites Batumi".
On September 21, 2014 the third Batumi International Bird Festival was finished by a conclusive meeting at Hotel Intourist Palace attended by Foreign experts of Bird watching, as well as representatives of Ajara tourism department, municipalities, academic sector, protected areas and environmental protection division. During the meeting different stakeholders conducted thematic presentations.
From April 1 to April 5 under the organization of the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara A.R. representatives of 20 Ukrainian tour operators are visiting Batumi. In the frames of the study tour guests will get acquainted with tourism potential of the region through visiting tourist attractions, hotels and other facilities of the region.
According to the information of the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara this year tourist attractions have recorded an exceptionally increased number of tourists.
