On April 8-11, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara was participating at an international tourism fair “Leisure 2015”. During 4 days numerous events were held at the stand of Ajara that attracted a lot of visitors.
Sarah May Grunwald, sommelier, professor of wine and owner of Taste of Georgia (tastegeorgia.co) is publishing an article in Wizz Inflight Magazine about Georgian wine.
On March 23-24, Sofia, the capital of Republic of Bulgaria, hosted the second Black Sea Stakeholder Conference "New Opportunities for the Blue Economy of the Black Sea". Ajara region was represented at the conference as one of the major stakeholders in the process of creating a joint system of blue economy.
From 5 through 7 March, 9 tour operators invited from Kazakhstan will get acquainted with the tourist potential of Ajara. Among the invited guests there will be a representative of the tourist association of Kazakhstan. The organization of the information tour is carried out by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara. During the visit, the guests will familiarize themselves with hotel potential, tourist attractions and traditional cuisine of the region.
From 4 through 8 March, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara took part in the International Tourism Fair ITB 2015. Ajara was represented at the fair together with the National Tourism Administration of Georgia.
