From 5 through 7 March, 9 tour operators invited from Kazakhstan will get acquainted with the tourist potential of Ajara. Among the invited guests there will be a representative of the tourist association of Kazakhstan. The organization of the information tour is carried out by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara. During the visit, the guests will familiarize themselves with hotel potential, tourist attractions and traditional cuisine of the region.

On March 6, at 10:00 am, Intourist" hotel will host a meeting of Kazakh tour operators with local travel agencies. This meeting initiated by the Department of Tourism is aimed at promoting the development of a private sector.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan is one of the target markets for the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara. According to the statistics of the Department, the number of Kazakh tourists in 2014 increased by 106% compared to 2013. This year, the Department of Tourism will carry out marketing activities more actively. Placement of advertising billboards in busy areas of Astana and Almaaty, participation in international tourism exhibition in Astana, as well as the press tour for the leading Kazakh media is planned.
