On September 18, 2014 a hotel "Divan Suites Batumi" organized an event in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey aiming at popularizing Ajara as a tourist destination and a hotel "Divan Suites Batumi". A representative of the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara A.R. held a presentation about Ajara tourism potential for invited guests and participants. The event was attended by major Turkish tour operators and representatives of tourism sector, as well as representatives of "Turkish Airlines" from Batumi.

It should be noted, that a Turkish brand hotel chain "Divan" operates quite successfully in Batumi. The department of tourism and resorts of Ajara has also participated in a similar event organized by "Divan Suites Batumi" in Baku, Azerbaijan. These types of activities are beneficial for promoting our region Ajara on a foreign tourism market.
