Festival Batumoba 2014 is held on September 1-2 to celebrate the day of Batumi city. This year the festival is conducted mainly on Europe Square and Memed Abashidze Avenue.

From August 27 till August 31 VI International Festival "Night Serenades" will be held in Batumi, coordinator of this festival is Georgian violinist Liana Isakadze.

A part of foreign tourists visiting Ajara enter the region via flights at Batumi international aiport. According to the data of January-July, 2014 the number of foreign tourists is increased with 21% if compared with the data of the same period of 2013.

Mtirala National Park is one of the most attractive places in direction of eco tourism. Apart from relaxing in nature, tourists already have a chance to get involved in extreme activities like: zip lining and canoeing.

According to the data of information-analytical department of Georgian ministry of internal affairs in July of 2014 the number of Russian tourists in Georgia was increased with 13,3%, while in Ajara region 10% increase of Russian tourists can be noticed if compared with data of the same period of 2013.
