A survey has been carried out to evaluate the results of New Year events and discounts implemented by the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara and to measure the number of tourists attracted from December 27 to January 20.

Based on hotel occupancy rate in the mentioned period Ajara hosted 7706 visitors while in the same period of last year the number of tourists in Ajara amounted to 3933. Notably, the project of discounts worked out by the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara is aimed at promoting and developing domestic tourism. The project will last till the end of February. Consequently, the final results will be available in the beginning of March.
