The Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara hosted an official delegation from Egypt.

The delegation members included a Governor of South Sinai-Khaled Fouda, a councilor of Ministry of Justice of South Sinai Governor-Waleed El Sebaie, a tourism projects manager in Sharm el-Sheikh-Amr Mohamed Ismail, an owner of a travel agency "Gafy Tours" - Givara El Gafy and a board member of Radamis for hotels and touristic resorts - Raafat Ibrahim Abdellatif.

The guests attended a presentation about tourism potential of the region at the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara. In addition, they visited tourist attractions of Batumi and got acquainted with infrastructural projects. The delegation is leaving Batumi on August 15.

It is important to note, that on August 12 Sharm el- Sheikh and Batumi city hall signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation. In the frames of the mentioned memorandum it is planned to develop collaboration in different directions, including tourism.
