The chairman of the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara is attending an international workshop in Odessa, Ukraine on February 4-9, 2014. The project topic is "Network of competence centers for the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea region" and it is supported by the European Union.

The chairman of the department will held a presentation about tourism potential and cruise tourism perspectives in Ajara. 26 partner organizations from Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Georgia are taking part in the mentioned workshop. Notably, together with the department of tourism other participants from Georgia are: Georgian National Tourism Administration, Batumi Maritime Academy, Batumi Sea Port and other representatives of tourism and academic spheres.
