Georgia has been ranked in the top five countries to visit in 2014 by leading and the most popular British tourist guide "Rough Guide". Topping the list was Ethiopia, followed by Madagascar, Brazil then Turkey. Georgia, ranked fifth, was named ahead of Rwanda, Japan, Bulgaria, Macedonia and the Philippines. Notably, in 2013 Georgia hosted about 5 million 300 thousand tourists. The company "Rough Guide" belongs to a publisher "Penguin Group" popular with its web sites, publications and ratings in a tourism sphere worldwide. The mentioned fact will favor attraction of even more tourists to Georgia in upcoming year.
