Under initiative of Georgian National Tourism Administration a convention bureau has been established in Georgia. In addition, on November 11 the composition of supervisory board was approved.

The mentioned board comprises representatives from private as well as governmental sectors. Notably, the department of tourism and resorts of Ajara is a member of the supervisory board.

According to Georgian National Tourism Administration Georgia has recently joined ICCA (international congress and convention association). ICCA membership will favor attraction of numerous international events in Georgia. The project partner is USAID's Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI).
