On 28th-29th of November 2013 Batumi will host 3rd workshop on the case of South Caucasus Transboundary Tourism. With Georgian colleagues state authorities and the representatives of the privet sector coming from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran will also take part in the workshop.
The workshop was initiated and organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Autonomous Republic of Ajara. The participants of the workshop are Georgian National Tourism Administration, Government of Ajara A.R., Batumi Sh. Rustaveli State University, Regional Tourism Advisory Board of Ajara, different tourism agencies and associations represented in the region and representatives of the consulates accredited in Batumi. Promotion of transboundary tourism is important for the creation of common tourism products that can fit into and succeed in the world's most successful concept - "Two countries, one tourist".
